In October 2022 I bought a small electric van, a Nissan E-NV200, that became affectionately known as the Struggle Bus.

Yes - but camper and truck not a van. The obstacle I ran into as a White man is that our government upholds or core American values of greed, cruelty, brutality, and violence. It requires proof of citizenship via home mailing address for any meaningful participation in society (like voting and having a job.) Thus the conditions which led me to being without home (no job during a pandemic) were also the same conditions that our government refused to permit me to seek relief from.
As a kid reading sci-fi in the school library I'd watch the librarian assistants laminate cards and imagine human sized lamination machines that would laminate space suits and hostile weather gear onto people.
