Dans l’immédiat, nous devons réviser notre perception de la plupart des ONG militantes. Beaucoup ne sont pas de véritables organisations de la « société civile », mais entretiennent des liens directs avec les Etats. Elles sont en réalité gouvernementales plutôt que non gouvernementales. Nombre d’entre elles sont politiques et idéologiques. Ce sont précisément ces ONG qui, à travers le monde, ont joué un rôle actif dans les appels à la censure. Toute personne attachée à la liberté d’expression et à la démocratie doit non seulement soutenir l’arrêt du financement public de ces ONG, mais aussi exiger une enquête approfondie sur leurs sources de financement, leur gouvernance et leurs pratiques, car elles constituent une menace directe pour nos libertés fondamentales.

The pair discussed undergoing a shared fertility procedure, long after Maxwell claims she largely disassociated from him. They corresponded about discrediting women who raised allegations against them, including in one exchange where Maxwell said she planned to circulate compromising information on one of Epstein’s sexual-abuse victims."
