I had a chance to buy some of his ( actual ) work back in the 80โs. I passed because it looked too โweirdโ. It wasnโt that expensive either, small piece groupings. Much facepalming years later.

How sincere are her fine words, words that sound like election campaign slogans concocted by a PR team? How trustworthy is she when you look at her record? And surely we must examine her record on the two most urgent conflicts facing the United Nations, two conflicts whose resolution or non-resolution will surely determine the UNโs future relevance or irrelevance.

Under the pretext of combating child sexual abuse and online exploitation, the European Union is pushing forward a regulation widely known as โChatControl.โ Cumbersome to implement โ with deep divisions among EU institutions and, above all, between member states โ the proposed CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material) regulation poses serious threats to fundamental rights, freedom of expression, and privacy. Worse still, it appears largely ineffective against organised crime.
To grasp how the EU is using noble intentions as a smokescreen for striking at the heart of fundamental freedoms, we need to go back to the origins of the proposed regulation. And it ain't pretty.

Abstractly, we might phrase the common trope as follows: โX is in a category whose archetypal member gives us a certain emotional reaction. Therefore, we should apply that emotional reaction to X, even though it is not a central category member.โ
