beige.party/@laprice/115199839โ€ฆ laprice@beige.party - Things we learned this week that we sort of already knew:

Ezra Klein is a dipshit and a tool.

MSNBC management are cowards and poltroons.

Most media companies are willing tools of fascists.

Being a toxic troll is quite lucrative if you're doing it in a way that the Koch foundation likes.

Yeah, pretty much since they were kicked out of the Paramount ranch. I had high hopes that Aymon would single-handedly pull MSNBC's fat out of the fire, but no--there was a segment of Weekend Prime Time where an extensive re-hash of what went wrong with Kamala Harris was regurgitated and parroted the usual DNC Olde Guarde garbage of Why We Lost.

Stick a fork in it--it's done.

Thar' she blows! Look closely, enlarge if you can to see a whale or whales spouting.

We went whale-watching off the coast of Cape Cod a few years ago. We encountered an entire pod of the beasts - and they were active!
in reply to Donna McClure

I've never seen a whole pod @tomgrzybow, but I have seen several at the same time. Also, I've been privileged to watch them playing, or at least that is what it looked like. To me they are fascinating creatures. Whenever I have sightings it is exciting. โ˜บ๏ธ

@Katherine Bond I've only seen the small type of dolphins like we saw in Hawaii. Kudos to you for getting pictures with your cell phone. I have trouble getting the timing right if using the cell as I have tried when watching waves. For me it is just different.

Hey, you pay them. If you want to watch a movie 300 times, so what?

Before I divorced my ex, we had planned to move to Hawaii to raise our daughter. We did it anyway.

The markets don't fund government. Government spending creates the reserves that feed financial markets.

โ€œJust Kill Them.โ€ Casual Cruelty, Broadcast at Dawn
This is not a slip of the tongue. This is not a joke gone awry. This is beyond horrifying. Fox News has crossed the threshold from fearmongering to full-blown fascist rhetoric. Brian Kilmeadeโ€™s casual invocation of euthanasia for the homeless is not just dehumanizingโ€”it is genocidal thinking. Letโ€™s not soften what he said. Letโ€™s not pretend it was hyperbole. We are talking about Americans. Veterans. Trauma survivors. Survivors of abuse. Children who aged out of foster care. Men and women battling schizophrenia, PTSD, bipolar disorderโ€”people failed again and again by the institutions that were supposed to protect them. Instead of housing, instead of healthcare, instead of compassion, Kilmeadeโ€™s โ€œsolutionโ€ was state-sanctioned execution. That isnโ€™t commentary. That isnโ€™t โ€œpro-life.โ€ That is the language of fascismโ€”broadcast into living rooms before breakfast.

in reply to Richard

I'm not outraged. I grew up with people who think like this. I was abused and neglected by people who think like this. I identify people like this early and avoid them. It took moving to Minnesota in my 20s to really internalize how abnormal and evil people who think like this are.

This is not the man I want to be.
